PEDRO SACADURA BOTTE focuses his practice on cross-border M&A, advising both private equity and corporate clients on a range of transactions.

Prior to joining Sidley in 2022, Pedro was an associate in the Corporate and M&A practice of a major Iberian law firm’s Lisbon office.

Examples of Pedro’s experience include advising:

• ABM Industries Incorporated in its US$275 million acquisition of WGNSTAR.
• Fortidia in the strategic partnership with, and acquisition of a majority stake in the company by, BC Partners.
• OrbiMed and RA Capital Management on their investment in Verdiva Bio Limited’s US$411 million Series A financing.
• Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in its agreement to acquire AssuredPartners for US$13.45 billion.
• Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc.:
  • in the acquisition of The Travel Corporation.
  • the takeover bid for 100% of the shares of Applus Services, holding company of the Applus industrial testing group, for approximately €1.38 billion.
• A listed private equity investor in the acquisition of purpose-built student accommodation assets in the UK.
• A listed real estate investment trust in the acquisition of two portfolios of healthcare assets in the UK.
• A major private equity fund on the acquisition of a 24.99% stake in a market-leading food retailer.
• A private consortium on the acquisition of a 221 MW windfarm portfolio.
• A global asset management firm on their investment in a veterinary clinical services group.
• A bank on its acquisition of an international financial brokerage group.
