DYLAN SHERWYN is an associate in the M&A and Private Equity practice and a member of the Entertainment, Sports and Media group in the firm's New York office. Dylan focuses his practice on representing public and private companies and investors in connection with mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, co-investments, joint ventures, and other general corporate matters, with a focus on sports, entertainment, and media. His practice includes the representation of individuals, groups, and private equity firms on investments in, and acquisitions of, major professional sports teams and expansion teams.
Prior to joining Sidley, Dylan was an associate for an international law firm in their Mergers & Acquisitions group. He has extensive experience representing public and private companies with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
While attending Fordham University School of Law, Dylan served as editor-in-chief of the Fordham Sports Law Forum, the Chair of the Fordham Sports Law Symposium, and as a staff member of the Fordham IP, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. During his time at Fordham, Dylan was also a Paralegal for BSE Global (parent company of the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center, Nassau Coliseum, New York Liberty, Long Island Nets, and NetsGC).
After earning his undergraduate degree in sport management from the University of Michigan, Dylan served as the senior coordinator of Business Affairs for Palace Sports & Entertainment (parent company of the Detroit Pistons and Palace of Auburn Hills), after which he entered law school.
