ELLIE VERRAN advises on a broad range of UK and cross-border advisory and transactional tax matters, with particular experience in private equity, secondary and public M&A transactions, fund formation work, debt, and equity capital markets transactions. Ellie regularly represents UK and international corporate clients, investments funds, asset managers, and their respective executives.

Prior to joining Sidley in 2023, Ellie was an associate in the tax practice of another international law firm.

• Bonaccord Capital Partners in connection with its second strategic minority investment in Park Square Capital, one of Europe’s leading credit investment firms with more than US$19 billion in assets under management.
• Grain & Protein Technologies, a portfolio company of American Industrial Partners, in the cross-border carve-out acquisition of the agribusiness equipment operations of Munters FoodTech.
• A leading infrastructure fund in its acquisition of Melita, a fully converged digital infrastructure owner and operator delivering broadband, mobile connectivity and data centre solutions across Malta.
• Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. in the acquisition of The Travel Corporation.
• Buckthorn Partners in its US$210 Million Sale of Coretrax to Expro
• Coupang, Inc. in the completion of its acquisition of the business and assets of Farfetch Holdings plc via a pre-pack administration.
• Atento in its successful UK restructuring plans.
• Stanley Capital Partners on its investment in Roboyo.
• A pan-European private equity sponsor in connection with its €2.85 billion fundraising for its flagship fund.
• A U.S. private equity sponsor on its acquisition of a premier UK holiday company.
• A pan-European private equity sponsor on its minority investment in a testing, inspection, certification, and compliance platform.
• A U.S. private equity sponsor on its £140 million strategic investment in a global provider of digital FX and international payment services.
• Portfolio company of a U.S. private equity sponsor in connection with a £2.815 billion refinancing.
• A U.S. commercial real estate investment firm on its US$1.3 billion acquisition of a majority interest in, and strategic partnership with, a global real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources consultancy.
