Global Arbitration Review: The Guide to M&A Arbitration - Fourth Edition
January 13, 2023
Four Sidley lawyers authored chapters in the 4th edition of Global Arbitration Review’s The Guide to M&A Arbitration, a practical guide for M&A practitioners on how to better minimize the potential for M&A disputes and efficiently resolve them. The book is structured in two sections, with Part 1 addressing planning and procedural issues ranging from drafting clauses to structuring contracts, and Part 2 offering a geographical survey of important differences in national laws that may affect the outcome of a dispute.
In Part 1, Yan Zhang and Nathaniel Lai authored Chapter Two titled “M&A Arbitrations involving Multiple Parties and Contracts.” The chapter provides insights into procedural complexities of M&A disputes featuring multiple parties and contracts, and discusses practical solutions for parties negotiating their agreements as well as in conducting their dispute proceedings.
In Part 2, Yan Zhang, Friven Yeoh, and Michael Wang authored the China Chapter, which comprehensively highlights key substantive and procedural issues in China-related arbitrations and under relevant Chinese laws.
