Sidley Adds Leading Government Contracts Partner Boyd Greene in Washington, D.C.

March 10, 2026
Washington, D.C. – Sidley is pleased to announce that H. Boyd Greene IV has joined the firm’s Litigation practice as a partner in Sidley’s office in Washington, D.C. Mr. Greene joins from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he was a partner in the Government Contracts and National Security practices. Before entering private practice, Mr. Greene spent 10 years as a contracting officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of the Treasury.

Mr. Greene focuses his practice on government contracts and national security matters, with substantial experience in government contracts due diligence and corporate transactions. He advises clients on U.S. trade rules and domestic sourcing requirements, and represents clients in civil False Claims Act matters, including qui tam lawsuits, and counsels on cost accounting standards and GSA Price Reductions clause issues. Mr. Greene has significant bid protest experience, including multibillion-dollar Department of Defense procurements and classified intelligence agency contracts, and represents clients in audit and cost accounting disputes before administrative boards. He counsels clients across the aerospace, defense, intelligence, technology, transportation, and healthcare sectors on compliance, contract strategy, intellectual property, and small business programs. Mr. Greene also advises on national security matters, including classified contracts, facility security clearances, foreign ownership mitigation structures, and ITAR compliance.

“Boyd has deep experience advising clients on government contracting and national security matters, and will be invaluable to our sponsor clients and corporates in transactions involving these areas,” said Brian Fahrney, Chair of Sidley’s Executive Committee. “He has worked on hundreds of transactions and advised on sophisticated matters across many government agencies and sectors in this increasingly important area.”

“Boyd has substantial experience with security clearance matters and has helped many clients navigate issues associated with the performance of classified contracts,” said Kristin Graham Koehler, managing partner of Sidley’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Executive Committee. “With his focus on the intersection of government contracts and national security issues, Boyd is a great addition to the D.C. office, and we look forward to his collaboration with other partners across the firm.”
