Sidley’s Gabriel Valdes Recognized as a “Top Lawyer Under 40” by the Hispanic National Bar Association

The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) has named Gabriel (Gaby) Valdes, a founding partner of Sidley’s Miami office, to its 2024 “Top Lawyers Under 40” list. The annual award recognizes accomplished HNBA members who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, and commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.
Gaby counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, and other corporate transactions involving primarily private equity sponsors, fundless sponsors, family offices, and other public and private companies. He also advises his clients on a broad range of non-transactional corporate, governance, and strategic planning matters, drawing on his experience with clients from a variety of industries and market capitalizations to provide practical and creative counseling. Outside the firm, Gaby is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Miami School of Law, a member of The Leaders’ Council of Legal Services of Greater Miami, a member of the Miami Advisory Counsel of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and a volunteer baseball coach with the Howard Palmetto Baseball & Softball Association.
