Sidley Named “Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year” by the D.C. Bar

The D.C. Bar has named Sidley the “Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year” at its 2025 Annual Awards. Each year, the award is given to a firm “for its excellence, achievement, and commitment to providing legal services to the District of Columbia’s low income and/or disadvantaged individuals and/or organizations serving such individuals.”

The D.C. Bar has highlighted Sidley’s longstanding commitment to pro bono work in the United States and internationally. In 2024 Sidley’s Washington, D.C., office contributed 42,560 hours of pro bono work, with 258 lawyers participating. In total, the firm’s D.C. office dedicated nearly 8% of its billable hours to pro bono service in 2024.
