
Biography
IAN FERRELL earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2020. While at Harvard, Ian served as finance chair for the Harvard International Law Journal and was a teaching fellow for introductory economics at Harvard College. Ian received his B.S. in economics, summa cum laude, from Miami University.
Prior to joining Sidley, Ian was a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Graduate Fellow at Legal Aid Chicago. Before law school, Ian began his career in consulting at 84.51° and Deloitte Consulting.

- AppHarvest, Inc., a high-tech indoor farming company, and its subsidiaries in their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
- BowFlex, Inc., a manufacturer of fitness equipment, in its Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
- OYA Renewables Development LLC and seven solar community development affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
- An ad hoc group of first-lien noteholders holding over US$1 billion of notes in the financing and restructuring of Ligado Networks LLC, a wireless communications company.
