Biography
YAN GOODWIN focuses her practice on global finance.
Yan received her J.D., summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, from DePaul University College of Law. During law school, Yan served as the managing editor of lead articles for DePaul Law Review, Volume 72. She earned her LL.M. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and her LL.B. from Soochow University, Kenneth Wang School of Law.
Prior to joining Sidley, Yan worked as an immigration and trademark attorney. She was also a Public Interest Law Initiative fellow at the Illinois Legal Aid Online.
Yan is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
