バイオグラフィー

AMBER HUNTER focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation.

Amber also maintains an active pro bono practice. She represents clients in civil rights litigation, immigration proceedings, matters involving criminal record expungement, and represents incarcerated individuals in post-conviction proceedings under the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission.

Prior to joining Sidley, Amber earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. While attending, she served on the executive board as an online editor for the University of Chicago Law Review.

During law school, she was actively involved in the Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, working with the Civil Rights and Police Accountability/Transparency Clinic. She also held leadership roles on the boards of the Black Law Students Association and the Law Women’s Caucus. In addition, she was selected as a Sidley Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow, where she worked with Just the Beginning Foundation, a pipeline organization dedicated to increasing diversity in the legal profession.

Prior to law school, Amber was a Fulbright Fellow in Madrid, Spain. She received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
