Biography

TAMARA SOLEYMANI focuses her practice on private alternative investment funds — their structuring, management, and related corporate and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Sidley, Tamara was a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Graduate Fellow at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law — Bluhm Legal Clinic Complex Civil Litigation and Investor Protection Center.

Tamara graduated cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she served as an executive articles editor of the Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy. She earned her B.A., cum laude, in government and politics and psychology from the University of Maryland and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa during her junior year.

Experience

Representative Matters

  • Lighthouse Investment Partners, LLC in its acquisition of the Pamli Global Credit Strategies business from Fir Tree Capital Management.
  • Gemspring Capital Management in the closing of Gemspring Growth Solutions II with US$1.1 billion of capital commitments, which was oversubscribed and reached its hard cap in its first and final close after approximately three months in the market.
  • Excelsior Energy Capital, a leading independent North American renewable energy investor, in connection with the launch of Excelsior Renewable Energy Investment Fund II, LP (ERE II), which primarily focuses on post-development wind, solar, and energy storage and related assets across the United States and Canada.
