Cameron Turkzadeh

CAMERON TURKZADEH represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as public and private companies, in a variety of complex transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, and other related transactional matters.

Prior to joining Sidley, Cameron participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship, working on right to counsel and asylum eligibility cases. Cameron also served as a pro bono intern for the Western Justice Center, providing policy analysis on student disciplinary issues and restorative justice programs in schools.

While attending law school, Cameron was the executive notes editor of the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts. Prior to law school, he worked as a finance associate for the LA Clippers, where he was responsible for completing multi-state tax analysis on corporate purchases and performing efficiency analyses on corporate sponsorship deals.

Cameron has assisted with the representation of:

• Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. in its US$4.4 billion take-private acquisition of Alteryx, Inc.
• Naturium in its US$355 million acquisition by e.l.f. Beauty, Inc.
• Multiple investors, including Mitch Rales and Magic Johnson, in the Josh Harris-led consortium that has entered into a definitive purchase and sale agreement to acquire the Washington Commanders of the NFL from the Snyder family. The US$6.05 billion purchase price is the highest price ever paid for a professional sports franchise.
• Darren Throop, former CEO of Entertainment One, in the nine figure potential reacquisition of the film and television divisions of Entertainment One from Hasbro in a public company carveout transaction, including negotiations with respect to equity and debt financing.
• Affinity Interactive, a Z Capital portfolio company, in its sale of Rail City Casino to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Truckee Gaming, LLC.
