TYLER WOOD focuses his practice on commercial litigation and disputes. Tyler has experience representing and advising clients in business disputes, consumer class actions, internal investigations, and regulatory proceedings. Drawing on his computer science background, Tyler has experience in a range of technology matters involving software, e-commerce, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and intellectual-property and trade-secret disputes. Tyler also has experience in matters involving food and beverage, personal care and cosmetics, healthcare, and financial services. He has experience at all stages of the litigation process, from risk advising and pre-suit investigation through settlement, including drafting dispositive motions, fact development and discovery, negotiating and litigating discovery disputes, taking and defending depositions, mediation, and appeals.
Before joining Sidley, Tyler served as a law clerk for the Honorable Kenneth K. Lee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He graduated with high honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a managing editor of The University of Chicago Law Review and received the Joseph Henry Beale Prize in 2020 for legal research and writing. He earned his B.A. in economics and computer science, magna cum laude, from Connecticut College.
