
Biography
MARGALIT ZIMAND focuses her practice on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and capital markets transactions.
While attending Columbia Law School, Margalit interned at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts New York, and she has continued working with them through her pro bono practice at Sidley.
Margalit also served as an editor of the Columbia Journal of Law & The Arts. Her student note, “Deconstructing the Blueprint for Infringement: Remedying Flawed Interpretations of the § 120(a) Exception to Architecture Copyrights,” was awarded the, “Andrew D. Fried Memorial Prize,” in 2024 for the best student essay on a subject in the field of intellectual property published in the journal that year.
