Women’s History Month
“I love the profession of law and its involvement in helping others on a pro bono basis. I feel like it is a profession that can make an impact in so many areas.”
What attracted you to the practice of law and what aspect of your practice do you enjoy the most?
After working many years in corporate America and in marketing, I was attracted to the multidisciplinary approach that is required to solve a client's legal matters. I also love the profession of law and its involvement in helping others on a pro bono basis. I feel like it is a profession that can make an impact in so many areas, including public policy.
Tell us about a professional goal you are proud of achieving, and what (or who) inspired you to go for it.
From a professional standpoint, receiving the Louise B. Raggio award from the Dallas Women’s Law Association was very meaningful because Louise Raggio was such a role model for me and for so many women. The fact that I was nominated by colleagues made it that much more special to me.
On a personal note, what has been your go-to self-care activity in this remote work environment?
I spent more time taking advantage of my pool than I have in the past.
Can you share with us a saying or quote that gives you inspiration or helps you stay centered?
“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” Ruth Bader Ginsburg
