The New York Law Journal honored Sidley’s Nancy Chung as the 2024 “Office Managing Partner of the Year” at the New York Legal Awards.
In addition to serving as office managing partner of Sidley’s New York office, Nancy is head of the Litigation group in New York, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, and co-head of Sidley’s international Investment Funds Litigation practice.
Nancy has also balanced her management roles with a robust litigation practice, and is a trusted advisor and “go-to” litigator for her clients and their founders, boards and/or other senior professionals in managing and assessing their litigation risks and developing value-oriented litigation avoidance solutions. She handles crisis management situations and other high-stakes commercial litigation and investigations with cross-border implications.
Nancy was recognized for her collaborative and strategic leadership style, her notable accomplishments in building the New York office, and her emphasis on understanding the competitive and complex legal market. Nancy, who is also a partner in Sidley’s Commercial Litigation and Disputes practice, oversaw the growth of the New York office to become Sidley’s largest office, with 500 lawyers across a range of practices. Under her leadership, the office has attracted top lateral and associate talent and fostered a culture of collaboration and innovation, including through the Built to Lead® associate training program, in which 175 New York associates have participated.
