Joshua Hofheimer and Deepak Nanda Named 2026 “Life Sciences Visionaries” by the Los Angeles Times

Sidley partners Joshua Hofheimer and Deepak Nanda have been named by the Los Angeles Times as 2026 “Life Sciences Visionaries.” This annual feature recognizes leaders across a variety of industries and roles who are driving innovation across the biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

Josh Hofheimer co-leads the firm’s global Agribusiness and Food industry group, which has been acknowledged as the only law firm consistently ranked Band 1 in Agribusiness: Global Market Leaders by Chambers Global (2016–2025). Josh is also a member of the firm’s Global Life Sciences Leadership Council. Josh was recognized for notable work including representing Nektar Therapeutics in its global development deal with Bristol-Myers Squibb and assisting Chong Kun Dang Corp. in out-licensing a therapeutic to Novartis AG.

Deepak Nanda serves as a partner in Sidley’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity group, where he frequently advises on high-profile matters in the life sciences sector. Since joining the firm in 2025, Nanda has guided clients across six continents through transformative projects, including representing Edwards Lifesciences in several recent acquisitions such as JevaValve Technology Inc. and Innovalve Bio Medical Ltd.
