Sidley is representing United Airlines Ventures in its collaboration with Houston-based biotech firm Cemvita Factory, and with Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, to commercialize the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using carbon dioxide and synthetic microbes. United Airlines Ventures is United Airlines’ corporate venture capital fund concentrating on sustainability concepts and emerging companies that have the potential to influence the future of travel.
Sidley is also representing United Airlines Ventures in its equity investment in Cemvita Factory. With Sidley’s assistance, United has invested in more SAF production than any other airline.
The deal team includes Kevin Lewis (Houston), Sandi Knox (Palo Alto), Paul McBride (New York), and Jeff Wysong (Chicago).
