Sidley Helps Sexual Assault Survivor Secure VA Benefits and a More “Peaceful Life”

Working pro bono, a team of Sidley lawyers represented Rachel Faili, a U.S. Army veteran, who has struggled for decades with undiagnosed PTSD from her experiences while serving.

After roughly 200 pro bono hours, the Sidley team secured benefits for Faili in July 2023 when the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued a decision granting their request.
