Sidley Represents GLAS as Agent and Security Agent in Oaktree’s Acquisition of Inter Milan Football Club

Sidley represented GLAS in its capacity as Agent and Security Agent in the acquisition of the shares in F.C. Internazionale Milano S.p.A. (Inter Milan) by Oaktree Capital, following the non-payment of approximately €395 million due under its loan arrangements with Oaktree.

The Sidley team was led by co-head and partner of Sidley’s London Restructuring team Mark Knight, and was supported by managing associate Raveena Channa (Restructuring). The transaction involved a team working together across several practice areas including:

• Restructuring (London): partner Jifree Cader, managing associate Luke Mason, associate Jasper Millard, and trainee solicitor Rory Craig;
• Antitrust/Competition (Brussels): partner Ken Daly; and
• Litigation (London): partner Sarah Lainchbury.
