Tacy Flint, a Chicago-based partner in Sidley’s Supreme Court, Appellate, and Litigation Strategies practice, has been elected to the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (the “Academy”). The organization was founded to promote high-quality appellate advocacy and to celebrate outstanding appellate attorneys. Membership in the Academy is by invitation only, and is limited to 500 lawyers in the United States. Academy members must meet stringent criteria, including a minimum of 15 years of focused appellate experience, to be nominated and undergo a rigorous screening process before approval by the Academy’s Board of Directors.
Tacy is a premier appellate litigator who regularly argues and briefs major appeals in federal and state courts around the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the Seventh Circuit. She is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers USA in their Litigation: Appellate – Illinois category. Tacy has argued dozens of appeals in federal and state court, and her recent argument in the U.S. Supreme Court was profiled in Bloomberg Law.
