Sidley Represents Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman in Acquisition of The Intellectual Property Corporation

Sidley represented Eli Holzman and his partner Aaron Saidman in the sale of their interests in a joint venture formed with Sony following Sony’s acquisition of Industrial Media in 2018. As part of the transaction, Messrs. Holzman and Saidman reacquired The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC) from Sony and separated from Sony as senior executives. Mr. Holzman and Mr. Saidman founded IPC in 2016 and sold IPC to Industrial Media in 2018. When Industrial Media was subsequently acquired by Sony, they formed a joint venture with Sony for the production and exploitation of unscripted content and joined Sony as co-presidents of Sony Pictures Television, Nonfiction. In connection with the transaction, Messrs. Holzman and Saidman have relaunched IPC as an independent unscripted television production company with multiple shows either on the air or in production.
