ALEX PIARINO represents clients in complex commercial and corporate transactions across the entertainment, sports, media, apparel, and technology industries. She regularly advises U.S.-based and international clients in a variety of matters related to content acquisition, production and distribution, intellectual property licensing, strategic branding initiatives and endorsements, media rights and corporate sponsorship, and motion picture and television finance. She also regularly counsels clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, strategic partnerships, reorganizations, and other general corporate matters. Alex’s clients include major motion picture studios, networks, streaming services, production companies and other content providers, as well as talent agencies, sports leagues and teams, strategic investors and family offices, private equity sponsors, and live event promoters and operators.
Alex was named to Variety’s “Up Next” list in its Dealmakers Impact Report in 2023.
Prior to joining Sidley, Alex served as counsel for an internationally recognized law firm. During law school, she was editor-in-chief of the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance.
