Biography

ADAM ABBOTT advises on a broad range of debt and leveraged finance transactions, with clients including private equity sponsors, investment banks, and credit funds.

Adam has experience in acquisition financing, private credit financings, refinancings, restructurings, and other lending transactions. He has also been seconded to the credit team of a private credit fund focusing on special situation and distressed lending opportunities and also to the treasury team of a global telecommunications company.


Experience

Representative Matters

  • CVC and its portfolio company, Domestic & General, on a syndicated €545 million term loan B, £165 million multi-currency revolving credit facility, and a £350 million senior secured notes offering to refinance its existing senior secured indebtedness.
  • The Carlyle Group and Investindustrial and their portfolio company, Flos B&B Italia S.p.A., on the upsize of its existing revolving credit facility and issuance of €550 million of senior secured floating rate notes.
  • A leading software and technology-focused private equity firm and its portfolio company on the refinancing of its existing facilities and the provision of growth financing provided by funds affiliated to a global direct lender.
  • A private equity firm in relation to the financing of the acquisition of a leading chain solutions and chain-related lifting equipment manufacturer.
  • A private equity firm and its portfolio company on the financing of their buy and build strategy.
  • The senior lenders on the acquisition financing for a global private equity firm’s acquisition of one of the world’s largest bulk rum producers.
  • The senior lenders on the acquisition financing for a private equity firm’s acquisition of a leading provider of software solutions and one of the Nordic region’s fastest growing SaaS companies.
  • The senior lenders on the growth and capex financing provided to a UK-based meal kit retailer.
  • GLAS, as security trustee and agent, in connection with various new money restructurings.
