ALEX BUTLER focuses his practice on private alternative investment funds — their structuring, management, and related corporate and regulatory matters.
Alex received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He received his B.A. in economics and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was a four-year member of the varsity men’s rowing team.
Prior to attending law school, Alex worked for two years on the economic model validation team at PNC Bank. Prior to joining Sidley, he was a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) graduate fellow at Legal Aid Chicago with the Veterans Rights Project.
