JESS DAY is a senior managing associate in the firm’s Chicago office and is a member of the Corporate group. Her principal areas of practice include the representation of buyers and sellers in public and private mergers and acquisitions across a wide range of industries, and private equity transactions. Jess also regularly advises publicly traded and private companies regarding corporate governance matters and state corporate law.

- General Electric in the sale of its “Current, powered by GE” lighting business to New York-based private equity firm American Industrial Partners
- Aon PLC in the $4.8 billion sale of its benefits administration platform to The Blackstone Group
- RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused specifically on the healthcare industry, and its portfolio companies, including multiple transactions related to the expansion of RoundTable’s Santa Cruz Nutritionals portfolio company
- Thompson Street Capital Partners, a private equity firm, in multiple representative capacities, including advising its portfolio companies on various corporate governance matters and managing numerous acquisitions and divestures, including the acquisition of its Complus portfolio company, the sale of BioreclamationIVT to Arsenal Capital Partners, and the sale of Global Software, LLC to TA Associates
- Cabela’s Incorporated in its sale to Bass Pro Shops for an aggregate value of $5.5 billion
