BRIANNA GALLO is a managing associate in the Litigation group in the firm’s New York office. Brianna focuses her practice on commercial litigation and disputes, which includes the representation of individuals and corporations in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, consumer class actions, and shareholder and M&A litigation.
Brianna received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude. She joined Sidley as an associate in 2017 following her graduation. In 2018, Brianna left the firm to serve as a law clerk to The Honorable Claire V. Eagan of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, where she analyzed and did research for procedural and merits-based motions, observed and evaluated hearings and trials, and drafted jury instructions, change-of-plea scripts, opinions, and orders. Following her district court clerkship, Brianna then served as a law clerk to The Honorable Bobby E. Shepherd of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, where she analyzed appellate briefs, conducted research for and drafted bench memoranda, evaluated oral argument, and drafted opinions. Brianna rejoined Sidley in 2020 upon completing her appellate clerkship. Brianna was also a summer associate at the firm in 2016.
While attending Fordham Law, Brianna served as both the articles and notes editor and the advancement chair for the Fordham Law Review. Additionally, Brianna was an active member and competitor for Fordham Law’s Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center. She was named a national finalist in the American Bar Association and John Marshall Law School National Criminal Justice Trial Competition, a national finalist in the Mockingbird Challenge Trial Competition, and a regional finalist in the American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy Competition. In 2017, Brianna was awarded the “New York City Trial Lawyers Alliance Trial Advocacy Award.”
