
Biography
ELAINA JOHNSON’s practice focuses on energy and infrastructure matters.
Elaina graduated with a J.D. from University of Texas School of Law in 2023. During law school, she participated in various pro bono activities, including with the Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) project (2022) and the Human Rights Clinic at the law school, which dealt with the humane treatment of deported immigrants (2023).
Prior to attending law school, Elaina earned a B.S. in arts and entertainment technologies from the University of Texas in 2020.

Representative Matters
- Coastal Waste & Recycling, Inc. in its acquisition of Southwest Waste, a leading independent waste-hauling and recycling company on Florida’s west coast.
- U.S. Energy Development Corporation in connection with its reserve based lending facility in connection with USEDC’s acquisition of approximately 20,000 net acres in Reeves and Ward Counties, Texas, the largest acquisition in USEDC’s history.
- A Canadian pension fund in the acquisition of interests in Sweetwater Royalties, a private industrial minerals royalty company, owning mineral estate in Wyoming containing trona resources.
- A fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management in its agreement to acquire a 40% equity interest in Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (Diamond) from Dow Inc. for approximately US$2.4 billion. Diamond provides specialist infrastructure services to Dow and other industrial customers at five Dow manufacturing sites in Texas and Louisiana.
