
Biography
PAIGE LEVITT focuses her practice on a variety of corporate, securities, and regulatory matters involving the insurance and financial services industry. She regularly represents insurance companies, private equity firms, and other industry participants in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, private equity investments, public and private securities offerings, the formation and capitalization of domestic and offshore insurance and reinsurance companies, and related ventures (including sidecars and other alternative capital vehicles) and regulatory matters in relation thereto.
Paige earned her J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School. Prior to that, she received her M.A. in political science with a concentration in civic leadership and her B.S. with highest honors in human development and family studies, both from the University of Illinois.
Prior to joining Sidley, Paige served as a PILI Graduate Fellow at the Voting Rights Project of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

- Ancient Financial on its launch and acquisition of F&G Life Re Ltd.
- Athora Holding in its €3.5 billion private capital raise.
- Athene Holding Ltd. in connection with the acquisition of Apollo's Commercial Real Estate loan portfolio valued at US$9 billion.
- Athora Holding Ltd. in its approximately £5.7 billion acquisition of Pension Insurance Corporation Group Limited.
- Venerable in its US$51 billion reinsurance transaction with Corebridge.
- Fortitude Re in the reinsurance of US$3.4 billion of long-term care reserves and approximately US$120 million of individual disability insurance business from Unum.
- Sentry Insurance in its acquisition of non-standard auto insurer The General® from American Family Insurance, for a total transaction value of US$1.7 billion.
- Athene Holding in its merger with Apollo Global Management, in an all-stock transaction creating a pro forma US$29 billion market cap company (with Athene valued at approximately US$11 billion).
- Athora Holding in its €2.75 billion private capital raise.
- Athene in its US$500 million indirect equity investment in Jackson National Life Insurance Company.
- Athene in its combination common share exchange with and US$1.55 billion sale of common shares to Apollo Global Management. The transaction also involved the elimination of Athene’s multi-class share structure.
- Athene in the formation and capitalization by Athene and Apollo Global Management of ACRA 1 and ACRA 2, each a long-duration, on-demand capital vehicle funded by Athene and certain investment funds managed by Apollo.
- Athene in the formation and €2.1 billion initial capitalization of Athora Holding, a Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance group founded by Apollo Global Management and Athene Holding, which provides specialty solutions to the European insurance market.
- Western & Southern Financial Group in its acquisition of Gerber Life Insurance Company from Nestlé S.A. for US$1.55 billion.
- Apollo in its acquisition of Catalina Holdings.
- Apollo in its acquisition of Fortress Investment Group’s ownership in OneMain Financial for US$1.4 billion.
