Biography
CASSANDRA LIU focuses her practice on commercial litigation and disputes.
She received her law degree from Harvard Law School. While attending law school, she worked at the Criminal Justice Institute and the Legal Services Center, where she represented indigent clients in criminal and housing matters, respectively. She was also an editor of the Harvard Business Law Review and Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. Cassandra is a winner of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Mock Trial Competition (New York Region).
Prior to working at Sidley, Cassandra was a legal intern at the Campaign Legal Center and a judicial intern at the Massachusetts Superior Court.
Community Involvement
Pro Bono
Cassandra maintains an active pro bono practice. She successfully argued an appeal in the New York State Appellate Division to secure Medicaid benefits for an elderly client. She currently represents clients in various civil rights actions in federal and state courts.
