Biography
EE MING WONG has experience in cross-border restructurings and regularly advises debtors, creditors, insolvency appointment takers, and other stakeholders on large-scale restructurings of corporate groups in Asia Pacific. Ee Ming also advises private credit houses, hedge funds, and investment banks in their review and diligence of Asian investment opportunities in stressed and distressed transactions.
Prior to joining Sidley’s Hong Kong office, Ee Ming has practiced in Hong Kong and Singapore and has also completed a secondment to the strategic investments group in Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, where he assisted the team with strategic investments into distressed situations.
Ee Ming is fluent in English and Mandarin.

- a Norway listed corporate group specializing in owning and operating semi-submersible accommodation vessels in relation to a restructuring of its liabilities to various bank lenders and trade creditors through a parallel Singapore scheme of arrangement and Norwegian reconstruction proceedings.
- a global food and hospitality company in the successful restructuring of its loans and bondholder debt by way of a UK restructuring plan under Part 26A of the UK Companies Act.
- an international fitness brand, in relation to its wind-down of the Hong Kong business and the wider restructuring of the APAC business with a group of syndicated lenders.
- a global satellite operator in relation to a restructuring of its senior facilities and mezzanine debt by way of parallel Bermuda and UK schemes of arrangement.
