| Project Description | Arifu (Akengo Corp.) is a digital advisor and education marketplace helping the world’s least served people access information they need in a personalized way to achieve their goals one conversation at a time. It’s available any time of day over any mobile phone. No internet, airtime or physical training required. Since launching in March 2015, over 135,000 Kenyans and Tanzanians have turned to Arifu to learn essential skills and access the high-impact products and services offered by their partners. Working closely with leading organizations, the company has achieved early results for their learners, most of whom are smallholder farmers, by helping them increase their savings by 600%, access more capital, improve their productivity by 55%, and grow their income by $187 per acre.
