Leading Real Estate Finance Partner Jeremy Trinder Rejoins Sidley’s Growing London Office
March 3, 2026
London – Sidley is pleased to announce that Jeremy Trinder has rejoined the firm as a partner in its Global Finance group in London. He joins from Latham & Watkins LLP, where he was a partner and former global co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate practice. Mr. Trinder was an associate in Sidley’s London office between 2000-2005.
Mr. Trinder’s broad cross-border practice represents sponsor, lender, and borrower clients on high-value and complex real estate investment, financing, and restructuring transactions of prominent properties and portfolios. He is one of the most experienced practitioners in the market with more than 30 years’ experience in advising across a wide range of real estate finance instruments including commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans, distressed debt acquisitions and NPLs, and mortgage-backed securities.
“Jeremy’s track record, substantial client following, and deep experience in advising on real estate financing matters speaks for itself - and underlines our commitment to add elite talent to our cross-border work in the real estate space,” said Brian Fahrney, chair of Sidley’s Executive Committee. “By adding Jeremy in London and Bonnie Neuman in New York, who led a group of 15 real estate lawyers to Sidley last year, we are enhancing our capability to deliver seamless, transatlantic real estate counsel to our clients on their most sophisticated and complex transactions.”
“Jeremy is a known leader on real estate finance transactions. We are continuing to develop our cross-border capabilities with significant additions in London for clients in Europe and across the world,” said Tom Thesing, managing partner of Sidley’s London office and a member of Sidley’s Management and Executive Committees. “He is highly regarded by many of our clients and his practice is highly synergistic with our existing London Finance group led by Jay Sadanandan, Sam Hamilton and Rupert Wall.”
Sidley has achieved transformational growth in London by adding a significant number of private capital leaders in recent years, including James Inness, Sean Carney, Ed Gander, David Stewart, Jay Sadanandan, Sam Hamilton, James MacArthur, and Ramy Wahbeh. Likewise during this period, the firm has promoted eight lawyers to the partnership in the London office, including three new partners as of January 1 of this year, and has also continued its more than decade-long year-on-year revenue growth.
Sidley’s Global Finance group is a destination practice for high-value, complex financings across a broad spectrum of platforms, industries, and asset types.
