Sidley Matter Named a 2026 “Impact Deal of the Year” by ITR World Tax

A Sidley matter - representing Affinity Partners as part of an investor consortium, along with PIF and Silver Lake, in an all-cash acquisition of Electronic Arts with an enterprise value of approximately US$55 billion - has been named an “Impact Deal of the Year” by ITR World Tax at its 2026 ITR Europe Awards. The annual awards celebrate “excellence in advisory, law firm, and in-house tax practices across the region.”

Sidley represented Affinity Partners in the transaction and advised on all aspects of the tax structuring. This transaction represents the largest deal in Affinity Partners’ history and stands as the largest leveraged buyout ever recorded.
