Sidley’s Private Equity Team in London Caps Landmark Year With €46 Billion+ in Transactions

Sidley’s Private Equity team in London delivered a very strong year of transactional activity, supporting a wide verity of clients on complex cross-border transactions and navigating regulatory challenges that required seamless coordination across multiple jurisdictions.

Over the course of the year, the team advised on more than 50 deals, with an aggregate value in excess of €46 billion, reinforcing Sidley’s position across Europe (and beyond) as a trusted adviser on marquee matters spanning across multiple industries and jurisdictions.

Sidley’s was named a 2025 Law360 “Private Equity Practice Group of the Year” – reflecting the depth, scale, and impact of our work across the global private equity market.

Representative Matters in 2025 Included:

  • Apollo and certain other shareholders on the sale of the share capital of German bank Oldenburgische Landesbank (OLB) to TARGO Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of leading French cooperative bank Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale.
  • Evri, a portfolio company of Apollo-managed funds, in its merger with DHL eCommerce.
  • Apollo-managed funds in their acquisition of a majority stake in Prosol Group from Ardian.
  • Great Hill Partners on the acquisition of Motion Picture Licensing Company from Tenzing.
  • Athora Holding Ltd., a leading European savings and retirement services provider, in its acquisition of Pension Insurance Corporation Group Limited.

  • Grain & Protein Technologies, a portfolio company of American Industrial Partners, in the carve-out acquisition of the agribusiness equipment operations of Munters FoodTech.
  • Apollo-managed funds and affiliates in connection with the launch of TenFifty Capital, a new European-focused commercial real estate lending platform.
  • Fortidia in Strategic Partnership With BC Partners.
  • Apollo-managed funds in their acquisition of a majority stake in Kelvion.
