Lauren E. Gumerove

LAUREN GUMEROVE focuses her practice on representing pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer product manufacturers in high-stakes, complex product liability and mass tort cases in federal and state courts nationwide. She has experience handling and managing all phases of litigation, including pre-suit matters, coordination of initial pleading and briefing strategy, successful dispositive and non-dispositive motion practice, coordination and management of fact and expert witness discovery, and representing clients at hearings, as well as depositions of fact and expert witnesses, trial preparation, trial, representation of clients in settlement negotiations, and appeals. Lauren also has advised clients regarding strategic risk management and litigation avoidance.

Lauren also strives to make a meaningful impact in her community and has maintained her pro bono practice through representing veterans in combat-related disability claims, as well as counseling veterans’ support organizations on best practices. 

Lauren began her career at Sidley in New York. Prior to rejoining the firm, Lauren spent three and a half years as a product liability litigation associate with two prominent law firms in New York and Miami.

• Represented medical device manufacturer in coordinated state court action involving design defect and failure to warn claims.
• Represented COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer in pre-litigation fact gathering and strategy.
• Represented pharmaceutical company in federal MDL and related state court coordinated litigation regarding chemotherapy drug alleging failure to warn claims.
• Represented pharmaceutical company in federal and state courts regarding diabetes medication after successfully defeating petition to coordinate lawsuits in multi-district litigation involving entire drug class.
