Biography

CHELSEA HIMES focuses her practice on patent litigation and enjoys engaging her background in biochemistry and computer engineering. She participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working with the Appellate Advocacy Project at Legal Aid D.C.

Chelsea earned her J.D., from The George Washington University Law School, serving as executive guide editor for The George Washington International Law Review and assisted clients with copyright, trademark, and patent prosecution as a student lawyer for the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic. While in law school, Chelsea was a judicial extern for The Honorable Marian Blank Horn of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She received her B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Denver, where she worked as a research assistant focused on biosynthetic pathway identification in the Latham Lab. 

Prior to attending law school, Chelsea worked in the oil and gas industry.
