Biography

JOHN JIANG focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including corporate lending, fund financing, and leveraged finance. He represents asset managers, investment funds, and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as borrowers, and bank and non-bank financial institutions as agents and lenders. John has particular experience in asset-based financing facilities, secured by a range of assets including loan portfolios and fund interests.

While attending law school, John spent a semester studying law at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

John is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

  • A prominent family office with a series of asset-based lending transactions totaling more than US$2.9 billion from 8 different financial institutions.
  • A leading private equity sponsor and its insurance arm, with the refinancing of its broadly syndicated revolving credit facility and a series of limited recourse financings.
  • A global investment banking company with its US$700 million revolving credit facility.
  • KKR Capital Markets LLC and KKR Corporate Lending LLC, as lead left arranger and lender, with a US$1.6 billion refinancing for Heartland Dental, LLC.
  • Nomura Corporate Funding Americas, LLC, as agent and lender, with a NAV credit facility for Harrison Street Infrastructure Income Fund.
  • Kuvare US Holdings, with its US$700 million revolving unsecured investment grade syndicated credit facility.
  • Pretium and its managed funds, with multiple syndicated and bilateral subscription-secured credit facilities and its management company credit facility.
  • Altamont Capital Partners and Hadron, with the launch of innovative hybrid insurer Hadron, backed by over US$250 million in capital support from Altamont and other institutional investors.
  • Various prominent asset managers, as borrowers, and financial institutions, as agents and lenders, in fund financings, including subscription facilities and NAV facilities, as well as hybrid subscription and NAV facilities, totaling billions of dollars in credit.
