Jorge H. Ortiz

JORGE ORTIZ advises his clients on investigations and enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He also advises his clients on regulatory and compliance matters.

Jorge earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Prior to joining Sidley, Jorge worked as a legal intern in the executive office of then-SEC Chair Allison Herron Lee. He also worked as a legal intern in Whirlpool Corporation’s Law Department, focusing on corporate governance matters.

Before law school, Jorge enlisted in the Army and attended Officer Candidate School. He currently serves as a logistics officer in the Virginia Army National Guard.
