Biography
JOSH ROVINE primarily concentrates his practice on hedge fund and private equity fund formation, including limited partner representations, as well as investment adviser regulation and compliance. Josh represents managers in spin-outs from financial institutions; buyers, sellers and other participants in secondary/structured secondary transactions; and institutional clients investing in, or co-investing alongside, hedge and private equity funds.
In 2013, Josh rejoined Sidley, where he was a partner from 1998–2002, from The Blackstone Group L.P. where he served as a managing director in Blackstone’s Legal & Compliance Group since 2003, general counsel of Advisory Services and the chief compliance officer of Blackstone Capital Partners.
Strong leadership has earned Josh recognition in The Legal 500 within Investment Fund Formation and Management: Alternative/Hedge Funds.
