Icarus is an agricultural supply chain company based in Washington, D.C. and Liberia. The company focuses on improving the agriculture sector in Liberia through technology and innovation. The firm has over 2000 acres of farmland under management in Liberia and believe agriculture is a way to a brighter future for Liberia. They are currently working to mechanize their farming networks by introducing green and sustainable refrigeration solutions, where produce cultivated by farmers could be stored to avoid post-harvest loses. Icarus works and support over 100 Liberian farmers. The company’s main produce is pepper, supplied locally and to other neighboring countries, and are looking to expand to international market as Liberia recently signed a trade agreement.
