California Governor Extends COVID-19 Paid Sick Leave Protections

On September 9, 2020, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed AB 1867, which, among other things, extends paid sick leave protections to California workers who are not entitled to paid sick leave benefits under the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA).
