Biography
SPENCER LI focuses his practice on corporate and securities law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, shareholder activism, and capital markets transactions.
Spencer received his J.D. from Cornell Law School. While attending Cornell Law School, Spencer served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. He was also served as a research assistant and was a teaching assistant for the legal writing class. Spencer received his B.A. from University at Buffalo, where he studied business administration and graduated summa cum laude.
Prior to joining Sidley, Spencer worked at a large financial institution where he helped small businesses with their banking needs.
