OWEN SKELDING focuses his practice on complex business transactions, including M&A, finance and capital markets activity.

While attending the University of Illinois College of Law, Owen was as an admissions editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. He also served as an extern for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s enforcement division and worked for the University of Illinois College of Law Veterans Legal Clinic.

• Apollo Global Management as insurance regulatory counsel in its acquisition of Bridge Investment Group in an all-stock transaction with an equity value of approximately US$1.5 billion.
• Sentry Insurance in its US$1.7 billion acquisition of non-standard auto insurer The General® from American Family Insurance.

• Apollo Global Management in the acquisition of Credit Suisse’s Securitized Products Group.
