JAGATA SWAMINATHAN advises on a broad range of cross-border corporate M&A and private equity transactions. Prior to joining Sidley, Jagata worked at a law firm in India where she gained experience in the firm’s Energy and M&A practices.

Jagata’s experience includes advising:

• Apollo-managed funds and affiliates in connection with the launch of TenFifty Capital, a new European-focused commercial real estate lending platform.
• Evri, a portfolio company of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc., in its merger with DHL eCommerce, the e-commerce logistics specialist of DHL Group.
• Apollo and certain other shareholders on the sale of the share capital of German bank Oldenburgische Landesbank (OLB) to TARGO Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of leading French cooperative bank Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale.
• OrbiMed and RA Capital Management on their investment in Verdiva Bio Limited’s US$411 million Series A financing.
• A Saudi Arabian oil corporation on the acquisition of Indian entities as a part of its global acquisition of an oil and lubricants company.
• A Hong Kong based power company in the sale of its stake in its Indian subsidiary to a Canadian Pension Fund.
• A solar power company in the sale of four special purpose vehicles engaged in solar power generation to a private equity fund.
• The Indian subsidiary of a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider in the sale of its trading platform operating on various stock exchanges in India.
• A U.S. based private equity fund on two rounds of investments into an Indian fintech company.
