Steven Szymanski

STEVEN SZYMANSKI focuses his practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.

Steven earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as the president of the Society for Space Law and Law of the Sea. He earned his B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where he was a Chancellor's Scholarship recipient.

• Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. (Prospect) and several of its subsidiaries in its Chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. With over US$2.3 billion in outstanding funded debt, Prospect’s Chapter 11 cases are among the largest filed in 2025.
• Ancala, an independent infrastructure manager, in its acquisition of a portfolio of pipeline-connected sites and storage facilities for the production, storage, and transportation of critical chemical intermediates from Hexion, an American Securities portfolio company.
• GT Independence, a financial management services company that helps customers select and hire their own caregivers, in connection with its acquisition by H.I.G. Capital.
