BEN VALLIMARESCU focuses his practice on international trade and national security-related issues. He regularly advises clients on matters involving economic sanctions and export controls, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and the Outbound Investment Security Program (OISP).
In his practice, Ben provides regulatory compliance advice and transactional support to U.S. and international companies, financial institutions, investment firms, and government entities. He also represents clients before CFIUS, DCSA, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), and other federal agencies.
Ben received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was the policy director for the Georgetown chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project and a member of the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
