Mulai Xu

MULAI XU focuses her practice on regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters in China in the life sciences industry. She has experience in assisting life sciences companies on matters in connection with clinical trials, manufacturing, marketing authorization, imports/exports, distribution, and promotional/advertising activities. Mulai has also assisted multinational companies and their Chinese subsidiaries in internal compliance programs and investigations under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), as well as China’s anti-bribery laws.

She is a native Chinese speaker and is fluent in English.

Her significant experience includes:

• Advising multinational companies in connection with product approvals, clinical studies, marketing, promotion and distribution, market access, pricing and reimbursements in China;
• Representing multinational pharmaceutical companies in their acquisition efforts and strategic collaborations in China, with a particular focus on regulatory and compliance aspects of these transactions;
• Advising multinational companies on responding to FCPA investigations by the U.S. government and anti-bribery investigations by Chinese government agencies;
• Advising multinational companies in implementing internal compliance programs.
