Sidley Represents Yum China Holdings in US$1.2 Billion Acquisition of Pizza Hut Brand in Mainland China

Sidley is representing Yum China Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: YUMC and HKEX: 9987) in its US$1.2 billion agreement to acquire ownership of the Pizza Hut brand in Mainland China from Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM). The acquisition marks Yum China Holdings’ move from the exclusive licensee owner to the brand owner and, upon closing, it will no longer be subject to the license fees previously payable to Yum! Brands.
