CHRISTIAN AXHAUSEN advises on all financing transactions, domestic and cross-border. In particular, he advises private equity sponsors, strategic investors, funds, corporations, and financial institutions on acquisition financing, leveraged buyouts, refinancing, and other corporate finance transactions.

Prior to joining Sidley in 2022, Christian was a trainee in the antitrust and competition practice of another international law firm in Munich as well as the General Directorate for Competition of the European Commission.

Recent experience includes advising:

• Grab Holdings Ltd. on its strategic investment in Vay Technology GmbH.
• Permira and its portfolio company Neuraxpharm on Neuraxpharm’s successful €925 million term loan B refinancing.
• Great Hill Partners on its strategic majority investment in Peter Park System GmbH.
• Kartesia in connection with the financing of the management buy-out of the German consultancy firm goetzpartners (now Fortlane Partners).
• Rivean Capital on the acquisition of Perbility GmbH.
• Apollo Funds in their minority equity investment in AUTODOC SE.
• TowerBrook and Bridgepoint Portfolio Company ACPS Automotive on successful debt refinancing.
• Z Capital Partners Portfolio Company Techniks Tool Group on the financing of its Acquisition of The Eppinger Group.
• Schur Flexibles Group, an international flexible plastic packaging manufacturer, on its successful financial restructuring.
